Carol Jean Eiserer Memorial Scholarship Endowment
The following biography was written at the time of this scholarship establishment; some information may not be up to date:
The Carol Jean Eiserer Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in June 1986, in memory of Carol Jean Eiserer at the direction of her parents, Leonard A.C. and Lorraine E. Eiserer. The initial gift was given as a demonstration of their love for their daughter and in appreciation to her alma mater, the University of North Carolina Greensboro.
Carol Jean Eiserer graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 1964 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education. For 22 years, she was a loyal contributor to the alumni annual giving campaign of the University. In fact, the significance of this scholarship is amplified by the fact that one month prior to her death in May 1986, she directed her father from her hospital bed to mail a check to the annual giving program at UNCG.
Leonard and Lorraine Eiserer passed away in 2007 and 2006, respectively.
