Becky Ruhmann Levin Scholarship Fund
The following biography was written at the time of this scholarship establishment; some information may not be up to date:
Becky Ruhmann Levin is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Levin & Company, Inc., an executive search firm focusing on the biotechnology industry. Becky graduated from UNC Greensboro in 1979 with a bachelor of science in business administration. She immediately launched her career in executive recruitment, and founded her own executive search firm only five years out of school.
Today, Levin & Company is a multi-million dollar enterprise with offices in Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and London. The company has expanded to serve industries including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and health services. Levin & Company’s longevity and success can be credited to Becky’s guiding vision. Under her leadership, the company has built one of the highest closure rates in the search industry and advises a variety of companies, from small start-ups to multinational corporations.
In addition to Becky’s business acumen, she has served on a number of non-profit boards, including The Schwartz Center for Compassionate Care, the Newport International Film Festival, and the UNCG Board of Visitors. She co-founded Pavone Images, Inc., an art-based company that contributes a portion of its proceeds to national and international charities. In 2008, she will be honored with the Bryan School’s prestigious Distinguished Alumni Award.
