Becky Jackson Scholarship Fund in Religious Studies
The following biography was written at the time of this scholarship establishment; some information may not be up to date:
Becky Jackson is a native of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina and came to Greensboro in 1969 to attend UNCG. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 1973 and added a master’s degree from Georgia State University in decision sciences in 1981. She has worked for the various incarnations of AT&T since she graduated from UNCG – Southern Bell, BellSouth, Cingular, and AT&T. She worked in many departments within AT&T and retired after 37 years of service as the executive director of the National Program Management Office in Atlanta, Georgia, where she was responsible for managing the implementation of large-scale wireless networks across the country. Becky enjoys reading, studying Eastern religions, gardening, and traveling.
By establishing this scholarship, Becky hopes other UNCG students can experience the wide range of religious studies, hopefully finding their own path, as well as gaining a solid education which will serve them well on whatever route they choose for their life.
