Barbara Osguthorpe Scholarship in Nursing

Barbara Ann Osguthorpe, RN graduated from the UNC Greensboro School of Nursing with a bachelor of science in nursing in 1983. She also holds degrees from the University of Florida and Marymount University. At the time of this scholarship establishment, Barbara (Bobbi) loyally serves the School of Nursing’s Alumni Association executive board of directors as the historian, and has served on the School of Nursing Advisory Board since 1992. A member of the North Carolina Nurses Association, the American Association of Clinical Nurses, and the American Nursing Association, Ms. Osguthorpe retired as vice president for Medical Treatment Systems/KCI. In 1991, she was selected for the Great 100 Award, a recognition bestowed by the state of North Carolina for nursing excellence. In 1997, Ms. Osguthorpe received the UNCG School of Nursing Distinguished Alumna Award. She established the Barbara Osguthorpe Nursing Scholarship in 2003. Barbara began giving to the fund in 1987.
